#62216 Three Pallid harriers through the Island so far this year, a few Woodchat shrikes being seen, Nightingales singing, twelve Bee-eaters logged and three Savi’s warblers heard reeling at the Albufera reserve.

#62696 I had a great week in NE Mallorca 21-28/4! I was perhaps two weeks too early for species such as the Elenora's Falcon, but that only means I have an excuse to return!

I really enjoyed seeing two Collared Pratincoles by the Depuradora, the Egret colony including Glossy Ibises at s'Albufera and the sheer numbers of Fan-tailed Warblers, Serins, Sardinian Warblers, Stonechats, B-w stilts etc.

Here are some photos from the trip: http://www.skogsmulle.fotosidan.se/view ... fID=381661
Click to enlarge and to see location.

How is Mallorca in say mid-late september? Are there still a lot of Eleonora's left by then?

#62748 Hello again,
It's unpleasant to say that but at least three people have been seen in Boquer Valley trying to steal wallets from the visitors. A couple (man and woman) and another man.
With the excuse of sharing your binoculars they get closer to you and try to introduce his hand in your pocket or bag.
I have seen them between the car park and the old house of Bóquer.
Local Police has been notified.

#62898 Hola, you all haven't heard from me a long time but I just wanted to share this beauty: a Short-eared owl that I saw in Cala Egos (Santanyi) this morning. I had to blink twice with my eyes to believe that I saw an owl flying, also special that this is my first ever Short-eared owl.

#63205 Hello!
Here you have the birdlist from first 15 days of June at la Gola.

https://www.ctolagola.com/birdlist-l...llistat-d-aus/

For example Zitting Cisticole can be seen easily in the field next to Síller stream.

One Collared Pratincole has been reported in s'Albufera this last week and one Isabelline Warbler was reported by Maties Rebassa last Thursday 14th.

The same Thursday afternoon I did a brief visit to the Natural Park and I saw very well the Glossy Ibis. Some of them from sa Roca Hide and then at least one nest with chicks in the middle of the nesting colony of Cattle and Little Egrets.
Also an adult of Little Bittern flew from the edge of Canal den Pujol. Over there and in the Ultima Hora pond is where to look for the Red-knobbed coot these last weeks.

Cheers,
Cristina.

#63865 Good morning,
In this link you can have a look to the last birdlist of la Gola Park.
https://www.ctolagola.com/birdlist-l...llistat-d-aus/

A heat wave is comming, so it is a very good idea to put some water in your terraces, balconies, gardens to help the birds and wildlife in general. A small plate with water in the shade and away from dogs and cats can be enough.

For a safe birdwatching, stay in cool places especially between 11 am and 6 pm, use hat and sunscreen and be sure you have enough water.

Regards,
Cristina.

#65157 Hello,
here you have the link to the bird list of from the 1st-15th of October and the birds seen today at the park (attached picture). The female Red-crested Pochard is still at Síller stream together with the juvenile Night Heron.
And today I have seen three Black Vultures, not in the park (of course ), but seen quite well from the bridge of Síller.

Remind that next weeks are the right time for the passage of Yellow-browed Warbler here in Mallorca :)

Cheers,
Cristina.
