Activities in Puerto Pollensa

The Port, situated where the sea joins the mountains, offers a wonderful choice of activities from water sports to mountain hiking.

Cycling is now a popular sport and during the winter months professional cyclists train making full use of the mountains and the mild weather. Amateur cyclists tend to explore the Island and take in the fantastic scenery. There are several bike rental shops within the town also offering guided tours which are great value.

The town is situated close to the Tramuntana mountain range which offers incredible locations for walking and rambling. There are specialist equipment shops which provide maps or alternatively you can contact a local walking company who provide guided walks.

On the sea front, close to the harbour, there is a wide range of activities including windsurfing, boat hire and Island cruises. The cruises can vary from a full day to just a few hours, to suit all pockets and provide a memorable experience.

There are two golf courses within the resort, the 9 hole Golf Pollenca and the 18 hole Golf Alcanada. Both courses must be booked in advance.

Try taking the 40 minute guided tour through the local Caves of Campanet. There are also a number of other caves to explore in the region.

The excursion shop on the seafront, set amongst the shops and bars, is the place to book any of the many excursions available including day trips to the capital, Palma.
