As well as the main reserve area which is vast there is the ever popular Can Curassa already used by many migrants this spring such as Woodchat shrikes and Bee eaters and there are plenty of nightingales and yellow wagtails. At the other end as you approach Alcudia there is now the observation tower erected last year which has been well used to view the Flamingoes this winter. To the left there is a small pinewood which has plenty of serins a few Crossbills and a pair of Hoopoes. There is a footpath now which takes you to the new hide looking over the northern lagoon which has a few island where a Collared Pratincole has been seen as well as several plovers including Grey Plover. There are also Stone curlews as well as regular visits by Purple Heron and Osprey also a great site for photography.
